CaCoCu: a multimedia channel to disseminate the contemporary culture as a source of educational materials

CaCoCu (Canal de Cultura Contemporánea, Contemporary Culture Channel) is a multimedia website started up by the Association of Public Andalusian Universities (AUPA) in order to promote in the Internet the cultural events they produce. As part of their cultural contribution, these ten Andalusian universities offer a rich program of cultural activities throughout the academic course that include diverse events such theatre plays, exhibitions conferences, concerts, literary awards, etc. Many of these events are recorded and offered through this website (http://www.cacocu.es). This paper describes the website and tries to highlight the goodness of CaCoCu as a source of educative materials that can be used in different educative scenarios: universities; high, secondary and primary schools; any academic or cultural associations in general and Spanish language schools in particular.
